March 25, 2026 JL Seattle, WA, initiates the Braille Library for the Blind. The League also owns and operates the only Braille stereotyping machine in the west, making books for the blind that are distributed throughout the country.
March 25, 2026 JL Greater Princeton, NJ, launches its first League project – a baby shelter where small children could temporarily be housed and cared for when mothers were too ill to care for them at home. It served 450 children before its closing in 1934.
