Air Force Major Ariel Grace Batungbacal (and Junior League of Washington member) was named to the prestigious White House Fellows program, which each year selects 15 people from thousands of applicants to spend a year working as full-time, paid Fellows to senior White House Staff, Cabinet Secretaries, and other top-ranking government officials.
The Junior League’s Kids in the Kitchen program was chosen by Kashi, the premier natural food and lifestyle company, to be featured as a Kashi REAL Project™ partner on 1.8 million Cinnamon Harvest boxes. Kashi also provided $80,000 of funding for the Kids in the Kitchen program at the League level.

The Junior League is now one of the largest and most effective volunteer organizations in the world, with more than 155,000 members and 293 Leagues in four countries. But challenges remain in increasing the value of membership while finding new ways to create lasting community impact.
