The Junior League was founded as a space for women to convene together to develop their leadership skills and impact their community. Throughout their Junior League experience, members engage with and convene networks of civic-minded, passionate and diverse women leaders. From the first moment a woman joins The Junior League, she is placed in a group with other new members. Throughout her membership journey, she will connect with women at community placements, networking events, conferences, trainings and social events. That is the true benefit of The Junior League – you are immediately ingratiated into a network of powerful changemakers in your community.
The Junior League hosts three in-person conferences each year bringing together women from across the globe to connect, network, and learn.
The Junior League has a private, members-only Linked In Network to connect across the organization on jobs, resume building and professional development.
The Junior League has established local and Association-wide groups, fostering connections among Members with shared interests, identities, goals, or experiences. These groups play a crucial role, uplifting underrepresented communities, providing a safe space, and fostering mentorship and networking opportunities.
The Junior League has partnered with Lean In to launch over 200 Lean In Circles across the organization. Lean In Circles are small peer groups that meet monthly to build professional development skills.
Due to our long history in communities, many Junior Leagues were critical to building community infrastructure. For example, The Junior League would fund a local domestic violence or children’s museum for the betterment of the community.
