Grace is a member of the Junior League of Alexandria in Alexandria, Louisiana. She serves in the nominating committee which selects qualified members to serve on the board and management team. She is also a member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion task force whose goal is to assist the board and management team in developing and maintaining a culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
One of Grace’s most significant Junior League accomplishments is being the first member from the Junior League of Alexandria to be selected to be a part of a workgroup for AJLI. She is one of the 25 women selected to join the DEI League Members Workgroup which will assist and advise the AJLI CEO in developing and maintaining a centralized, organizational culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Another significant Junior League accomplishment is spearheading the first community needs forum which brought a panel of key leaders in the Alexandria community and JLA members together to discuss the community needs. The forum helped JLA narrow their focus and to develop a clearer vision of the issues in the Alexandria community. This led to the JLA’s focus area of Education and Mentorship of Safety and Life Skills for Women and Children.
Grace received the Junior League of Alexandria Presidents Award in May 2019 for her impactful work in leading the community forum. The leaders in the community still discuss how important the forum was in highlighting the needs of the community and opened the door for collaboration among leaders to improve the community.
