The Junior League of Las Vegas is making its voice heard where it matters most – in the halls of government. With a focus on human trafficking awareness, trauma-informed systems, and survivor-centered practices, JLLV logged 108 hours of advocacy activity during the most recent legislative session. The League sponsored Nevada’s SCR3 resolution, promoting trauma-informed reporting practices in human trafficking cases – the first state resolution ever formally sponsored by the League. The resolution passed, marking a historic milestone for the organization. JLLV also partnered with the Junior League of Reno to host a Day in Carson City, giving Members firsthand experience in the legislative process.
