JL Greensboro, NC, partners with Greensboro Daily News to write a weekly column with the aim of helping the community understand the Mission and work of the Junior League.

JL Montgomery, AL, works with area health care professionals to open specialized health clinics for the public, including prenatal, tonsil, dental, and tuberculosis care, as well as services for children with disabilities.
JL Miami, FL, founds the Children’s Service Bureau of Dade County, Inc., which assisted in foster placement for children. The program would go on to assist Cuban children during Operation Pedro Pan when many parents, fearing the Communist regime in Cuba, sent their children to Miami.
