The first recipient of this award is not one singular person, but a collective. It began as a way to meet a need that several Leagues were experiencing – difficulty providing engaging and relevant training opportunities for their members. The idea was simple. Each League engaged plans and implements one virtual training around an annual theme during the League year and invites all Members from the participating Leagues to attend. This example of shared responsibility provides members with more opportunities to engage in training opportunities. In 2022, it started with just 9 Leagues but quickly expanded to 26 Leagues the next year. This initiative continues to pursue its goal of providing engaging and meaningful training and networking opportunities for their Members, and it now boasts involvement from over 86 Leagues.   

Our inaugural winner of this award is The Training Collaborative of Junior Leagues, created by the Junior League of Orange County and maintained by Dr. Sandra Poteet Thompson. Congratulations!
