A voice for philanthropy is stilled in Kansas City

For Adele Hall, a long-time member of the Junior League of Kansas City, philanthropy was a way of life. She spent decades involved in philanthropic efforts that have made her family name – the Halls of Kansas City’s Hallmark Cards – synonymous with charity and voluntarism. She was 81.

Air Force Major Ariel Grace Batungbacal (and Junior League of Washington member) was named to the prestigious White House Fellows program, which each year selects 15 people from thousands of applicants to spend a year working as full-time, paid Fellows to senior White House Staff, Cabinet Secretaries, and other top-ranking government officials.

Kashi partners with The League to promote healthy living

The Junior League’s Kids in the Kitchen program was chosen by Kashi, the premier natural food and lifestyle company, to be featured as a Kashi REAL Project™ partner on 1.8 million Cinnamon Harvest boxes. Kashi also provided $80,000 of funding for the Kids in the Kitchen program at the League level.
