
Dr. Paulette J. Evans embarked on her Junior League journey in 2010 with The Junior League of Greensboro, where she quickly committed to the mission of the organization. After eight years of leading locally, Dr. Paulette felt inclined to make a bigger impact by applying to serve at the AJLI level. She was slated as a Governance Committee Member for 2018-2020. Shortly after beginning this new adventure, she relocated to Raleigh and transferred to that local League. Over a six-year period, Dr. Paulette served in various leadership positions in The Junior League of Raleigh, including Membership Vice President, President-Elect + Strategic Planning Task Force Chair, President, and Immediate Past President. Her exceptional contributions to the JLR were recognized with the 2019-2020 Foundation Award. Dr. Paulette recently relocated to the Queen City and transferred to The Junior League of Charlotte, NC in January 2025. She immediately applied for leadership positions and was appointed to serve as the 2025-2027 Education + Training Council Advisor. Dr. Paulette also currently serves as the 2024-2026 AJLI Board Officer + Secretary, a role she will continue to serve in for 2026-2028. Her academic career began at Clemson University, where she was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematical Sciences. Driven by her desire for knowledge and interest in effective leadership, Dr. Paulette went on to earn a Master of Business Administration, focused on General Management, from Stetson University. She then completed a Doctor of Education in Performance Improvement Leadership from Capella University.
In 2022, Dr. Paulette leveraged her extensive academic background, plus 20 years at large corporations (10 years in manufacturing/construction + 10 years in healthcare), to launch Evans Efficiency Experts, LLC. Backed by her certifications as a Public Arbitrator, Kaizen Facilitator, Project Management Professional, Professional of Healthcare Quality, and Six Sigma Black Belt, Dr. Paulette helps both individuals and organizations solve complex problems, implement lasting changes, and increase their productivity.
Her achievements have earned Dr. Paulette numerous accolades, including the 2017 “40 Leaders Under 40” by the Triad Business Journal and recognition in Clemson World Magazine as the Fall 2017 Alumni Profile. She has also been featured on prominent platforms, including the Ellevate Network “Leader/Member Spotlight” and the KNOW Women “7 Black Women-Owned Businesses to KNOW” and “25 Coaches and Masterminds to KNOW and Support.” Lastly, Dr. Paulette has had the privilege to deliver keynotes for various organizations, including AJLI, Amazon, FedEx, NAWBO, and ATHENA of the Triangle. These honors underscore the significant impact she has had in her professional field and local community.
