Cece Gassner is a dedicated advocate for community engagement and empowerment, with numerous leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as Vice Chair of the Training Team in Boise, Cece has been deeply involved in The Junior League for over two decades.
Since joining The Junior League of Boise in 2004, Cece has held numerous roles, including President and Board Chair. Through her contributions to various councils, Cece received the AJLI Rising Star Award in 2008. This will be Cece’s fourth AJLI Leadership role, having previously served as a Director At-Large, Secretary, and member of the Governance Committee. Throughout her terms, she represented small Leagues and put an emphasis on the perspective of individual members.
Beyond The Junior League, Cece has made significant contributions to various other nonprofit and community organizations. She has served on the board of Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest, Hawai’i, Alaska, Indiana, and Kentucky, taking on roles such as Treasurer and Vice Chair. Additionally, her involvement in organizations like the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce and the International Women’s Forum reflects her dedication to advancing community development and women’s leadership.
Her educational background includes a J.D. from Boston University College of Law and a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University. As the first female Chair of the Boise Valley Economic Partnership in 2019, Cece is familiar with breaking barriers and paving the way for future female leaders. In her current capacity as Special Assistant to the Provost at Texas A&M University-Commerce, Cece seamlessly blends her legal acumen and biomedical engineering background to champion academic initiatives, further illustrating her versatility and dedication to driving positive change in diverse spheres.
