Meet Stacy A. Chavis

Stacey Chavis is a Sustainer of the Junior League of Atlanta, GA with nearly 15 years of League service and extensive leadership experience at both the local and Association levels. Within JLA, she has served in multiple leadership positions, including Chair of the Junior Leagues of Georgia State Public Affairs Committee, Vice President of Training and Development, Vice President of Advocacy and Initiatives, and many more.  

As Vice President of Training and Development, Stacey launched the League’s first Martin Luther King Jr. Day service project, introduced Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion trainings, developed nonprofit board training in partnership with United Way, implemented New Leader Training, and co-developed IBCI Training in partnership with the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. As Vice President of Advocacy and Initiatives, she implemented the League’s first Board Bank Fair and Women’s Leadership Forum. As IBCI Task Force Chair, she led the development of the framework defining the League’s work within early childhood education, human trafficking, and generational poverty. 

At the Association of Junior League International (AJLI), Stacey served on the AJLI Governance Committee from 2023–2025 and in the Volunteer Service Specialist Program from 2017–2021, providing consultative support to Leagues on governance and bylaws implementation. 

Professionally, Stacey is Managing Director of Campaigns Academy and has worked in all three branches of the federal government. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Oglethorpe University and a Master of Studies in Law from the University of Georgia School of Law.
