Namisha Patel-Vasanji
Since joining the Junior League of Baton Rouge in 2010, Namisha Patel-Vasanji has served in multiple leadership capacities by chairing community projects and serving as the Community Vice President. In 2019-2020, she served as the President for JLBR, becoming the first president of Indian descent. During her year as president, she led JLBR through its initial COVID-19 response while hosting JLBR’s First Women’s Leadership Conference, featuring Laila Ali as the keynote speaker. Namisha has facilitated strategy sessions related to organizational improvements, community outreach, fund development, and strategic/annual planning. During her presidency, JLBR continued to provide valuable training sessions that impacted the members personally, professionally, and civically, from attending Dialogue on Race to becoming facilitators for the poverty simulation.
